How to fit a photo in your locket
A little patience helps create a keepsake that sits beautifully and lets your locket close with ease.
Review the measurements listed on the individual product page. Pendant measurements describe the outside and may differ from the usable photo space. If interior dimensions are not listed, measure the photo area inside the actual locket before preparing your image.
Trace the usable photo space or carefully test-cut a paper shape to fit. Try the template in the locket first, and adjust it before printing or trimming your photograph.
Position the face within the template area on screen before you crop. Leave a little breathing room around the subject, then check that important features will remain visible when the photo is fitted.
Cut just outside your guide, test the fit, then remove only a sliver at a time where needed. Small adjustments are easier to control than trying to make a perfect cut all at once.
Use photo paper thin enough for the locket to close comfortably without forcing it. Test the fit gently; if the locket resists closing, choose thinner paper or adjust the cut.
Print a draft at 100% or actual size, with page scaling turned off. Use the paper print to confirm the crop and fit in the locket before making your final print.
